Love bags? Well this workshop is for you! You will learn how to make your own bag in your favourite colours and fabrics. You can make a simple Tote Bag, Pleated Bow Bag, Bucket Bag or simple Clutch Bag, along with a few other styles. Look through the gallery for all of the lovely options.
You will need to have completed the ‘Intro To Sewing Workshop’ or have some basic sewing skills already. You should know how to wind a bobbin, thread your machine and be confident sewing simple seams.
Duration of workshop: 3 hours.
Number of places: 2-4 max.
Cost: £35.
Fabrics can be purchased by the metre and fat quarters at the workshop. You can see most of my fabrics online here but there will be others available as fat quarters in the studio. You can also bring your own. I recommend using 2-3 different fabrics within most designs. I would suggest a handful of fat quarters to bring along in a range of colours to choose from if you bring your own.
Where: The workshop will be held in the studio in Dunvant. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided!
For the Bucket Bag – I recommend using 2-3 different fabrics within the design. I used quarter of a metre of denim, half a metre for the lining and one/two fat quarters for the main panels on the outside. You will have lots left over with these quantities. You can either make your own simple handles in fabric or use some gorgeous French leather handles for an extra cost of £15.50. They are exclusively available at All Sewn Up. **Please note, currently there are only a few shorter polka dot straps are in stock. You can request a photo.**
** Why not try making your own bags at home? Choose from a Beach Bag, Clutch Bag, Cosmetic Bag, Pleated Bow Bag and Bucket Bag. View the bags tutorial here. **
