Baby Blanket

Baby blankets make a gorgeous gift for a new baby.  You can use some super cute cottons for a new arrival or even better, you can cut up some old baby grows and make a blanket using some memorable outfits.  This is such a special gift to give or a special piece to keep forever.

The Baby Blanket Workshop is a 6 hour workshop.  You will need to choose two MIXER workshops dates which suit you.  The Mixer Workshops are 3 hours. You will need to pay the £10 difference on the day.

During this workshop, you will be able to make a blanket with either 12 or 20 squares depending on your sewing ability. The cutting out will take time as you need to position your precious squares to get the most out of the patterns. You will be able to take a full pattern home at the end of the workshop to make as many as you like!

You will need a range of cottons to use or at least 12-20  baby grows.  You will also need a soft fleece for the edging and backing.  This is available from most local fabric shops but I can provide it for a cost if needed.  Just contact me for help with fabric.

Duration of workshop: 6 hours.

Number of places: 2-4 max.

Cost: £80. You can buy cottons at the studio but you will need to provide your own baby grows.  You can buy fleece at your local fabric shop or I may be able to get some for you if requested.

Where: The workshop will be held in the studio in Dunvant. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided!
